Gentle care through pregnancy
Gentle, conservative care for back, hip and pelvic discomfort during pregnancy, for expecting parents in Surry Hills, alongside your GP, obstetrician or midwife.
Is chiropractic care safe in pregnancy?
Back and pelvic girdle pain are common in pregnancy as the body changes shape and ligaments soften. Gentle hands-on care, positioning support and exercise may ease this discomfort for some people.
We use pregnancy pillows and low-force techniques, and avoid positions that are uncomfortable. Our care is for musculoskeletal comfort only. We work alongside your GP, obstetrician or midwife and refer back to them for anything outside our scope.
Who is it for?
- Lower back aches as pregnancy progresses
- Pelvic girdle or pubic symphysis discomfort
- Hip or buttock pain when walking or turning in bed
- Upper back and neck tension from changing posture
